To make a long story short, 10-15 years ago Wiese was one of the most promising goalkeeper talents in Germany.
Speaking out loud, criticizing Joachim Loew (federal coach) among others, some bad fouls and his looks was the reason he never made it in the national team.
He was at the world cup 2010 as back up for Manuel Neuer.
At least in 2014 he even stopped playing in the bundesliga and got a 6 million severance pay.
