It’s a YoY metric so what they say is technically correct in that prices haven’t risen the last few months…… because they rose in the 18months prior to the last few months. So today fuel is the same as I paid 6mths back but it was the 18mths prior to then when it went from $1.35/L to $2.20/L.

Money supply wise the rest of us have already started printing.
US pretty much flat for 2022
UK +8%
Prison Island +4.5%

Already printing at near GFC levels and our economies are still 6-9mths away from bottoming. You watch this accelerate like an absolute mofo next year.

And people think prices and rates can’t go higher. Just wait. It’ll all go higher.

Anyone who thinks inflation is not a big problem is either lying or just plain stupid. EVERYTHING costs more money than it did before Biden took office. Blame it on whoever you want but your dollar is worth less. Things cost more and you are getting less. Eggs were $3 for 18 pack large and now they are $5.50. Gas is almost double here in LA. Meat costs almost as much as 50% more and they are out of stock of a lot of options. You heating bill is higher and will continue to rise this winter. Yeah, so nothing to see here I guess. Ignorance, or Democrat Political Party affiliation, is blind....

Well the red wave didn't happen so as far as I'm concerned cost of living isn't high enough, bring on more inflation maybe when people are hungry or cold they will remember to vote red next time. I can afford my life many non voting people can't.if they need an inflation reminder its going to keep coming, decarbonising the global economy won't be cheap. Won't make one pinch of shit difference as climate change is happening anyway, but hey whatever floats your bloat, its 2022 just don't whine about inflation when you had a chance to change things and didn't.

Inflation is unacceptably high but vast majority of people still - currently - have jobs and average bank balances are higher then pre covid (as per BofA and jp Morgan ceo's) so while everyone is justifiably grumpy about their breakfast cereal, gas pump etc increases its not to the point of Network-style "I'm mad as hell and not going to take it anymore" primal screams from your average Joe and Jane en masse yet

Credit card debt is at an all-time high.

People are spending like there is no tomorrow.

Tomorrow will come and they will have to pay up.

It'll just be used as another reason to vote Dem. They'll offer a bribe ("Aid For America Act" or some bullshit). And it'll be leveraged to amnesty a deluge of migrant labor.

Most people will reach for the government tit every time they flash it.

went to the store to buy some blue bell icecream for a cheatmeal, a year ago a gallon cost $3. Now the gallon is $9. 2 years ago my grocery trip would cost $75, now same exact trip ends up being $200 and I'm even cutting some stuff out and not buying everything I want

It's not so bad.  Suck it up, and buy off-brand ice cream and plant based junk food instead.

I can’t even begin to imagine the harm inflation is doing to Matt Canning and the mooching, thief Josh Rehaluk’s new business they were starting!!

Getbig donations will be solicited under false pretenses…again.

They are going to be very unhappy roommates, the 69-ing will be quite unfriendly.

Best part is God Himself could run against them and God would still lose by double digits

Despite the right-wing panic, prices only rose by 0.5 percent in recent months—equivalent to an annual rate of about 2 percent

Missed the memo b/c California is a shit storm.

I wonder how inflation is influencing Matt’s ability to support his family.

The reality is that it’s probably going to subside. The massive money printing exercise is over. The money has circulated into the economy and prices have gone up. Now the Fed has turned off the faucet.

Of course, that doesn’t mean prices are gonna go back to where they were. They essentially turned your $20 bills into $14s. They still say 20 but only buy 14 worth of things.

Well, he did have $116.00 invested in crypto, so he is safe there.  🤣

That’s okay, Matt Canning can ask his mommy for an increase in his allowance to begin partially supporting his 5 illegitimate kids and the 58 year old leech living in his mommy’s basement with him.

Of course prices can and probably will go higher before they level out. If there is a recession, they'll come down. How far down? Never far enough.  ;D
