Prohibition does NOT work and has never worked. Instead educate people on why porn is counterproductive.

Legalizing it doesn't work. Matter of fact, banning it does more good than legalizing it. At least with banning it there's a certain social taboo that shames people. Not much shame like there used to be and people even think in some cases, porn is good. It's not. It's bad and should be banned. It ruins lives. Men and women.

Conservatives cheering government surveillance and control.  ::)

This is how you want your tax money spent? Not defense. Not national infrastructure. Not border security. Porn police.

You are being hoodwinked by hotbutton issues into giving up your privacy and liberty to people who will never give it back. And they hate you. These are the exact same assholes who classified concerned parents as domestic terrorists.

Under no circumstances should you give them more authority over anything, and certainly nothing that makes it ok to watch you in your own home. How do they know if you're watching porn unless they're watching everything you do? You think they're going to be Honest Abe about it and only pay attention when you visit a known porn site? You're giving them permission to surveil and datalog everything you do online. It's technocracy inside your home. Wake the fuck up.

Look, Conservatives are just disgusted with this shit.  As for giving government "more authority"?  It was not we Conservatives that were squealing about hunting down those that refused the vaccine.  It was the Cuckolds of this Nation.

I have had people come waddling and SHOUTING across a parking lot that I "...need to put a mask on NOW!  You're gonna go to jail for not wearing one!".  Fuck That Noise.

Yes, there will always be porn but I think, not feeeeeeeeeeeeel that porn addiction can be real and lead to desensitization  which in turn leads to their being a human gerbil of sorts and going deeper into the bowels of porn for  "more".

It ain't gonna be illegal and no, they should not be allowed to monitor just anyone.   It is also true that there are more than enough perverts in positions of authority that want to make the disgusting legal. Yes.  Pedophiles want you to expand your area of acceptance to include their disgusting desires and they will stop at nothing to make certain you get your Daily Dose of Dildos or whatever it is that inflates your Hindenburg of Love.

Don't believe me?  You should.

I'm not surprised by the  responses. I have a theory as to why people say they support banning porn.

Here are a few follow-up questions for anyone who supports porn bans/regulations, if you're inclined to answer:

1)Do you think Twitter had unfair moderation policies prior to Elon Musk's purchase of twitter?

2) Do you think Andrew Tate's arrest was a takedown by elites or do you think there were legitimate reasons for his arrest?

3)What is the difference between political speech and  pornographic speech? (A somewhat formal description that describes why one should be banned and the other should be legally obligated)

4)Should sites like getbig be regulated or banned? They feature advice on illegal drug use and are a likely gateway for teens into PEDs- which can cause real world harm. Bodybuilding and strength sports have a notably high death rate, some people claim a seedy sexual underbelly, reliance on illegal activities to excel, etc. Is it better than porn?

I have a few more, but I'll drop them later. I'm hoping we can get into a real discussion about specifics. I've said this before, but I don't think a lot of conservatives who claim to care about free speech absolutism and personal liberties actually do. They just care if restrictions end up affecting them. The responses in this thread are further confirmation of that. The Andrew Tate thread was  another.

I'm conservative but not a free speech absolutist. If your actions and or behavior contribute to moral decay (biblical moral decay) than those actions and behaviors should legislated for the good of society.

This includes porn, drugs, lgbtqia (all of them)...
The slippery slope has been proven correct. This is why we are where we are morally today. There should have been acknowledgement that there are bad behaviors and they should be outlawed.

Cool. So, you in particular, have started quite a few threads on bodybuilding and physique stars over the last few weeks. Do you feel that contributes to societal moral decay?

1.What were your thoughts on Andrew Tate's arrest?

2.Also, I'm curious about what you consider moral decay. Would you consider things like incivility or racism moral decay?

It can. Example. Bikini girls moon pose. Also, the drugs in bodybuilding = moral decay.  So natural bodybuilding I'd say no as it promotes health and fitness and can be seen as an art.

Pro bodybuilding (all divisions) could be seen as an abomination. They're using pharmacia aka sorcery to enhance their bodies beyond what is achievable naturally. Men and women and that has had an effect on Movies, tv etc which has an effect on the masses and not necessarily a good one.

There's no room for loopholes like this with porn.

This is where my confusion comes from, man. We're not talking theoretically, you specifically started a thread congratulating Chris Bumstread on being that dude... a competitor you know MUST use drugs. On top of that, I believe Chris has a disorder which makes his drug use even more life threatening than the average competitor. Here's a competitor who is probably the most admired pro by teens right now, risking his life, onboarding countless kids into the lifestyle and you made a thread congratulating him for it.

By your own standards, it seems like an argument could be made that you are engaging in downright evil behavior.

Top G's arrest was obviously a farce to fuck with him.
Regarding incivility and racism, there are laws that restrict how far people practice these. Yes, it is morally decaying.

Okay, so you don't consider  Tate, who runs a sexcam empire and was arrested for activity related to the sexcam empire, to be evil?

An argument technically could be made that supporting modern bodybuilding (men and women) contributes to moral decay.

I wouldn't be against that argument. It's not even close to the porn argument, but the argument is there.

It's a "thing" I'm well aware of and have battled with and continue to battle with knowing all the death and health issues in bodybuilding. Not to mention G4P and schmoes.

They didn't go after him for his sexcam stuff (cover story)  They went after him because he's waking men up and giving men a voice again and helping them find their strength and overcoming these beasts of women today. That's a problem for the establishment as they want emasculated men.

I consider the sex cam stuff to be evil.

Wiggs, you basically just admitted to what I said earlier. He was arrested for activities related to his porn business,  but because you agree with him  on some MRA issues,  you can absolve him of that and he remains Top-G . You "struggle" with the porn, death and prostitution associations of Pro bodybuilding, but that still hasn't done anything to stop you from following it.

In another few posts you'll be admitting that all porn isn't evil because the porn you watch is just fine, you're just talking about the porn that crosses the line.

Actually no. I'm the biggest anti porn advocate on the board and have been for years. I understand the damage it did to me and it does to others and society in general so I'll never be pro porn.

Andrew Tate is wrong for the sex cam stuff and if I had my way, this would be banned. He's right on many things. There's good in Tate. There's no good in porn.

There's good in bodybuilding, there's no good in porn, drugs or lgbtqia.

If Tate started pushing his webcam shit vs.what he does, I'd like him even less. He's a flavor of the month. He has charisma, is entertaining, and is intelligent on some things.

I know, that was the point of my statement. You're using a lot of words, but what you're saying just isn't very credible. It basically comes down to "I will find a way to justify whatever I like in the moment."

Which is fine if that's what you want to do, but it's impossible to take seriously when it comes to making dramatic, blanket morality pronouncements.

(FWIW, I don't think you're alone on that.)

You brought up Tate, Twitter and bodybuilding. I'm staying with Porn. A scourge of the earth. As are drugs and LGBT. Bodybuilding not so much.

I just said one can make a reasonable argument that bodybuilding contributes to moral decay and it's true. We can do this with many industries. How about MMA? Does beating the shit out of each other contribute to moral decay?

How about acting in general? Making movies glorifying crime, etc....

My point is, there some things that are just wrong and porn is one of them. There are some things that have things wrong within them like bodybuilding.

There's nothing inherently wrong about porn. It's had a negative impact on you in the past, apparently, and I'm sympathetic to that, but your issues don't make it a nationwide problem. I'm not the one who claimed  that things that cause moral decay should be banned, so why are you questioning me about the morality of  MMA or movie acting? You  are the one who says that porn is a scourge of the earth, it's clear why I asked you about those other topics. Because they have elements that are similar and you celebrate them.  You can like what you like or dislike what you don't like, that's fine with me. But most of the people who responded like you did have a habit of making grandiose moral and political statements (you do) and they are usually pretty superficial (IMO, that applied to you here.) If you like bodybuilding and dislike porn, I could care less (I typed it that way because I prefer it that way). If one of your main things is speaking from the moral high ground, it's worth pointing out why you might not be someone to take seriously in that regard.

I stopped at the first sentence and will address the rest in another post if needed. We will always disagree on this.

There is everything inherently wrong with porn. It is inherently wrong. I don't want to go on 12 pages about it. I knew this when I was using it and always knew it morally. I just gave into my flesh and didn't care. But yeah, it's wrong and there's nothing right about it.

Getting off on others having sex is wrong. Morally wrong. You or others have a very weak argument to prove otherwise. But it's legal for now...Go nuts.

The subject is porn and you brought up bodybuilding so why would I not bring up other industries? My explanation was pretty thorough. Porn is wrong and a problem.

You don't believe so but need to bring in non porn related subjects to argue your point. You did that to try to make me look like a hypocrite (it didn't work)  I can still sit atop my ivory tower and tell you how wrong porn, drugs and lgbtq is and still enjoy bodybuilding and be taken seriously morally.

Your trap didn't work and matter of fact it backfired. Bodybuilding and porn are two different galaxies. The wrongs of bodybuilding are different than porn which is just wrong period.

We're obviously on different pages and that's fine but to say I can't be taken seriously morally because I like bodybuilding is a stretch for a weak argument to include porn as not such a bad thing. Which as I said, porn is inherently bad. It's why people hide it, lie about and are ashamed. Just like drugs and lgbtq. All wrong.

If you really HONESTLY believe this, then why do your posts  seem to overlook the fact that Andrew Tate runs a porn empire? You say there's good in him. If I was aware of someone making a ton of money off of something that I was so strongly morally opposed to, I would not be able to overlook it so easily. If I was so morally opposed to it, I would not be able to dismiss their arrest in relation to it so easily.

How morally wrong do you consider porn? I'm assuming it can't be that  high up on the list. For me, murder and child sexual abuse are at the top. Property theft is a little further down.  If someone makes a lot of money doing any of these things, I think they are scum.
If they get arrested in relation to these things, I am happy for the rest. They don't get to be called Top G anymore.

Serious question- how low is porn on your moral scale? Like, what do you compare it to.It has to be pretty low.  Like do you feel like pedophiles have good in them and have ideas worth listening to?   Or is there a point where you feel like someone is so immoral, their other ideas aren't worth listening to?

Because I wasn't the one making the moral judgement. You were. If you said that  coconut cake was the worst cake, why would you ask ME if coconut cake is so bad, then how can I stand chocolate cake? Why would YOUR opinion of coconut cake have any effect on MY opinion of other cakes? I asked you about the other industries because of YOUR opinion on porn.

Your argument - in its entirety- is porn is bad because it just is. You haven't expanded on it any further than that. You're not really in a position to call any argument weak.
