I agree with Lee.
What’s the point of being a champion of elves?
Kinda like being the valedictorian of the “learning disabled” class.
Or a gold medal in the Special Olympics.
More competitors should not mean more trophies. It should just mean more losers. That’s what is wrong with millennials.
How and why would bodybuilding get rid of the 212 class? That would be like boxing and MMA letting 250lbs guys fight 150lb guys...total chaos and totally unfair. But what do you expect from a Dave Palumbo simp, a guy selling his bodybuilding trophies online, a guy that gets a face tattoo, gets it removed then gets a face tattoo again.
Well, they did that back in the day (Pumping Iron era) with the under-200-lb class and over-200-lb class.
Franco Columbu and Frank Zane won 4 Olympias combined, after winning the under-200-lb class, much to the chagrin of Ken Waller, Robby Robinson, and Mike Mentzer (the over-200-lb class winners in the 70s, not named Arnold Schwarzenegger).
And when the 202 class started, the competitors were sometimes allowed to compete in both a 202-and-under division and open division in the same show. I think it was 2008 or 2009, where Kevin English won the 202 title at the NY Pro and placed 2nd in the open division to Kai Greene (with English actually winning more prize money than Greene as a result).
