The military press is always done with a barbell, standing.

The dumbbell shoulder press is a completely different exercise.

A 150 pound military press for reps is pretty damn good.  220 pounds for reps is absolutely elite.  The military press always feels a little bit "harder" than the dumbbell shoulder press -- due to a larger range of motion, core involvement due to standing rather than sitting, and more front delt involvement -- though it's easier to cheat by pushing with your legs.

Yeah 25lb plates are the new 45s😂😥

When I was at my strongest and natty I used the 70lb dumbbells.

It definitely happens at a slow pace as long as you keep training.  It is called aging and it sucks.

I thought that Thin Lizzy used to use 150LB in each hand for side laterals... with a 5 second pause at the top of each rep.

I have no idea how strong I am, I never 1RM and rarely go under 12 reps

I couldnt care less, I cant even remember what I lifted last week when I trained.

AMEN!! In addition to no more one-rep-maxes, I'm learning that I need more vitamins and minerals and water. Being dehydrated and mineral-deficient makes your tendons and ligaments ripe for the pickings to get torn or strained.

More like 15lbs😂

There’s no debate that you lose muscle with age. That’s why IMO the hypertrophy rep range is the way to go.

Tony Pearson and Bill Grant are good examples.

Your power lifter types almost invariably end up with numerous torn muscles and midsections wider than their shoulders.

If you are training correctly you won't have injuries. Just look at Mike O'Hearn. He's eating and training right and has always been injury free. Train for gains and eat for health...you will increase in strength and live long.
