It's rule #1 living in places with gators. Do not walk your dog near the waters edge.

I've become pussified as I've grown older. No going out to the ocean more than knee deep, absolutely no lakes, canals, or rivers.

They built pools for a reason. Remember that story from the early 1900's in NJ, where a bullshark went on a killing spree, in a river.

Killed 3-4 people in a few days.  Fuck that.

Also, evolution is very slow.  Gators and Crocs might have a slight more liking to humans, because they can hunt on land too.

Imagine if sharks, Gators, and Crocs really started seeing humans as a food source....we wouldn't have a chance.

Remember that movie Ghosts In The Darkness, withe Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas.

It was about a pair of rogue lions that killed 30-40 people, while they were building a railroad in Africa. Actively hunting them.  People would here screams in the night as, they got dragged of and eaten.

We have the power over them with weapons.  But we've seen bears get more aggressive, mountain lions.



With time these animals are saying to themselves "why aren't these things on the menu more?"

You may have a point, as they have probably been raised for thousands of years, that those things can hurt/kill you. With all of the hunters out there.

Although, they will eat your ass, so humans can't taste that bad to them.


I just love the tree-hugging morons that try to live with tigers, lions, and bears. Sure, they will act like your best friend, until  they aren't, and your severely mauled or dead.  And I think some attacks get a bad rap. Let's say you raise tiger from a cub. It's basically a housecat for awhile. So it playfully swipes at you when it's a baby, the it becomes a teenager or full grown. Then those playful swipes can rip your face off. With some of the time, its not an actual attack on the person, but the cat playing around, not knowing it's true power. It thinks it good Ole fooling around.

Try that with a bear too. A chimpanzee will rip your face off.

Two incidents that I distinctly remember is  trained bear whose owner had him for decades and always hit with a dowel type stick when he ordered him to perform his tricks in an act that he put on for  peoples amusement....well one day the bear said fuck this and tore that guys ass up. 

Another was an idiot hunter who sprayed eert piss on his body to attract female deer.....this worked quite well ass a big male deer attacked him and used his hooves to fuck this idiot up bigtime....I believe that is DEFINITELY online.

Then there was the mistreated elephants who finally had enough and ran amuck through some city ragdolling people.

And finally the chimp thst ripped thst old bags face clean iff.

2 million gators alone in Louisiana !!!!

Keep kids and small pets at home.  They shy away adults.  The dog was the prey, not the old lady. We went crawfishing and crabbing for years right on shoreline, not one incident, all adult males. Instinct to avoid humans.

It seems like the nature of a predator to back off prey of similar size.  A pride of lions is a different story, because they hunt with numbers, same with hyenas  etc....


Do you know what I think of as an underrated predator?

Fucking piranhas.  They will pick your bones clean in minutes. It's scary to think of how much of that you would feel until you die.
