All things considered, he looks pretty good.

Don't forget that he's tall and extremely lanky, so he's never going to look very muscular.  It's seriously impossible.  He'd look imposing in person, though, for sure.

He's listed as 6'4", but I think he's a little over.

I don't think he needed to be 248-lb for this fight. I think he should have fought at his walking-around weight of 228, or whatever he was.

It may be a mistake that he bulked up for this. He may be trading strength he didn't need, for speed he will lose. But Jones sounded so extremely confident in interviews, so we will find out tomorrow.

He must have some bhanky-esque excuses for that condition.

Most of that weight went to his face and gut.  Unless his quads are bigger.  He's a fucking asshole.  He was my favorite MMA fighter for a while but I'm done with him.  Really hope Cyril wins and in convincing fashion.  That being said, I still think he's the best to have ever done it.  If I'm being honest, he probably should have lost his last two fights at light heavy and now a 3 year layoff and gaining 20 pounds of fat, I think Cyril should win.

Do you remember when Seth Feroce competed in the 2011 Toronto Pro in the open weight class, and put on weight to do it, then Bill Willmore won?

Not really.  What happened?  I remember when Roy Jones Jr. moved up to heavyweight to beat John Ruiz like he stole something.  He hired Mackie Shilstone (sp) to help him do it right.  He looked better than ever both physically and performance wise.  Then the stupid mother fucker spurned a career high payday to do the same thing to Evander Holyfield and dropped the muscle to fight Antonio Tarver for less money.  He won the fight but looked old, weathered, etc.  In the rematch he got starched in the 2nd round and was never the same.  Ever again.

I follow UFC regularly - maybe even more than I do bodybuilding lately.

I will be buying the pay-per-view tomorrow for sure.

That said, I don't know all the boxing champions. I'm a big fan of old Mike Tyson fights - IMO, no one looked more refined than him in his heyday.

Regarding Seth Feroce, he came in at maybe 211-217 to compete in the open in Toronto in 2011.

This ended up hurting him.

Had he come in at maybe 207, he would have beaten Bill Willmore, who was maybe 257-267.

Size does matter, but Seth could have beaten him had he maintained his 202 class weight.

Instead, he chose to come in at an open weight to compete in the open which was unnecessary. He should have competed in the open at his normal weight.  Maybe a few pounds heavier max. If that.

And that choice to be heavier bit Serothe in the ass.

It could happen to Jones, but Jones is extremely confident that he can take Gane.

EDIT: it was the 2012 Toronto Pro. And I don't think Feroce competed much after that. He was very disappointed in his coach, Hany Rambod.

Very insecure guy. Fought at LHW because he wanted the size advantage, and even went as far as to use PEDs and eye pokes as if his size advantage wasn't enough. Overrated IMO.

I have come to realize Getbig doesn't actually know what it is looking at. Jones has put on considerable size his arms are a lot bigger he is going to be a lot stronger sure his abs are not as good but he is 43lbs heavier a good bit is actual muscle

You’re right Dude is in great shape. Looks contest ready with the new size.

You’re a moron btw.  Jones has always CUT weight to fight as a light heavyweight. I’d explain what this means in detail but I know you wouldn’t understand the point.

Jones now benches slightly more than I did at 170. I would say his added strength will help him in the fight, but it's a trade-off for speed.

Also, slight correction:

Jones weighed in at 205 as a light-heavyweight, but may have fought as heavy as 230. So he may be around 20-lb heavier. I also feel his ideal fight weight for this fight should have just been his walking-around weight.

But he is extremely confident, so we will see tonight.

Also, B. Hank:

You trashed my dumbbell shoulder press form. If you think my form is bad, what do you think of Jones' form?
