I don't buy the fine-tuned argument. Evolution happened without any creator. Abandon the idea that things or even the Universe needs to be created. Supposing there is a God isn't an explanation.
You need to start before evolution. When the Solar System formed all that existed were some of the elements of the periodic table. No life. It all started after the Earth formed and water developed. Billions of years. The moon was created when the planet Theia collided with Earth.

I see evolution as a method or tool of the Creator. When you build a house, it evolves from foundations to a roof. But you as a human Created that house. The footings were a necessary method that had to be built to support the structure of the house and allow the loads to spread out into the soil.

Vince, you have a common ancestor with a snake. Even a banana or spider. We evolved into human form and are related to our cats and dogs. We are even related to our cars. Everything came from the same primordial nebula soup. Our Solar System's Creators were supermassive stars that ended their lives via supernova explosions. Our Universe was created by a Big Bang Event. The Big Bang Event was created by a force that we can't fathom, a Creator.

Your story is what you believe. Man never made much progress understanding nature until he started asking questions and observing phenomena. Science is the process by which we come to understand nature, ourselves and the Universe at large. The cosmologists don't assume things were created. Eventually we will know the whole story. Eventually most will have to abandon the idea that things were created by some being or force. A good source for thoughtful discussions is Closer to Truth series on YouTube.

But then if punishment in Hell is eternal/infinite then no one would be punished because their crimes were finite. I still think that the eternal punishment you mention would be appropriate for some people. Does your version of Hell have only eternal punishment or is there finite punishment as well?

In my version of Hell, it's like being on THC for eternity.

It's very scary. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Several people who do weed would sign up for your Hell then. It would be an easy religion to peddle.

Several people had positive experiences with weed. It sounds like you had a negative experience. What about it was so scary?

It felt like I was dying, and would never end.

Who are these several people?

They must be sick people.

So you felt physical pain or just distress?

weed gives a glimpse into reality - u fear because u r scared to die... rightly so.

when terror takes hold - that is a warning, and should prompt u to seek God while u r still able.

life is not a joke - hell is real and most r in for a very rude awakening.

Not physical pain. Something vastly more terrifying.

It was very terrifying. Like an loop that would never end.

And my heart was beating out of my chest, it seemed [but likely wasn't].

Is that where I'm going when I die?

Bump.

Question to The Scott about Jerry Springer:

Why are you attacking a fellow Jew?

Also, what can I do to prevent from going to Hell? As is it is now, I will be punished for eternity when I die, and I wish to prevent this.

Envision running on a treadmill to prevent from being sucked into a vortex.

The faster you run, the closer you come to getting sucked into the vortex...but the urge is to keep fighting it.

It's sad to me because I know I will experience this horror forever when I die. It bothers me very much.

What do you think lies in or behind the vortex?
