She was his girlfriend for three years after the supposed rape took place. She then reported it years later.
Do I have proof it didn't happen? No, but common sense would be to not date someone after they raped you.
The first trial was 10-2 not guilty. The prosecution got a mulligan and can redo their strategy for a 2nd trial. I can understand if it were 10-2 for the prosecution to get a 2nd trial but this seems unfair.
If this shit is allowed all men are in trouble. Any woman you dated decades ago can come forward and claim she was raped and you could lose your freedom and wealth. You are now guilty until proven innocent. Even if it is proven the accuser is lying, they will never be charged.
