some trainer rushes him into lifting so he can film before getting form down.
any way you slice it you are a complete piece of shit. you disgust me.
How am I rushing him? In the complete video I am doing something else and he goes gets the dumbells sits downs and starts lifting. I asked him if he was benching or curling when he picked them up. I didnt know. I do not plan his workouts. I let him do whatever he wants as long as it is safe. I dont count his reps or critique his form I let him do it as natural and as fun as possible.
I actually dropped my phone off yesterday to get the screen fixed but there is a video on it from the same day where he is doing dumbell rows while laying inverted on an incline bench. Did I freak out and tell him his positioning was all wrong? No I told him good job and to remember the other side he then did the same thing on the other side. Is it conventional? Nope. Is it safe and effective lifting? Hell yes. I let the kid have fun he may do one set he may do 3 he may switch mid set and do something else its not that serious. I am not training him. I am letting him train. I may offer a tip here and there to help him but I do not push him. He ask me to lift everyday. I make him take a day off between lifting.
It is amazing how much enthusiasm he has for it. I have to tell him to wait between sets. I even have a video of him getting the collars on and off the bar from that workout. He can do both types of collars all by himself now. I mean they were not super tight against the weights but they worked the squeeze and buckle collars he can do at 5. I even got it on video. He carries one of those hand grip things around that are like the squeeze collar
I do encourage him to eat as much as possible and always explain the importance of protein for muscle and to eat a lot of meat
When he ask for a cookie I make him drink a glass of milk with it. I will tell him no cookies if he doesnt finish his dinner. But absolutely I let him eat a ton of cookies as long as he gets the protein.
