With Israel and Saudi Arabia going to sign a peace agreement, it would of been almost the end for Hamas. Hamas is a terrorist group that controls via fear in Gaza, maybe 10-20,000 members, but control 2 million Palestinians in Gaza. The attacks caught Israel's military and government by completely surprise, no doubt, and it cost over 700 lives of women, children and retirees. The worst of the insane killings of over 250 people having fun at a music festival. The question of what happened to intelligence and the failures are being asked by everyone in the state and more.
However, what Hamas has done is Israel's 9-11. They have put the left and right wing of government together, and because of the veracity of the attack, there is only one option now for Israel. To root out Hamas out of Gaza. They can no longer be there ruling and terrorizing the 2 million Palestinians. With a declaration of war, Hamas hiding in bunkers underground at the hospital, at the schools, at the mosques - these targets which have never been hit are now going to be, with a vengeance, with ground troops entering, and casualties will rise.
Hamas has always said their goal is the destruction of Israel. Always. It is in their declaration and they have not wavered. Liberals thought they could change. No way.
So many Israeli's and Palestinians want peace, and just to live their lives. The radicals won't have that, and Hamas this weekend proved that. So after Israel pulled out of Gaza without agreements, this is the result.
Everything in this situation is bad, and it is only going to get worse. Just like the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon to stop the PLO and remove them from that country, almost everything that is being said will result in Hamas being forced out of Gaza.

You mean the democratically elected government who, since their creation in the 1980s, offered settlement proposals which were all rejected. And who frequently observed ceasefires under the provision that Israel would end blockades and stop attacking alleged militants in their communities – something Israel never did.
The Hamas charter, which fatass propagandists like you are so keen on citing, is irrelevant and written by a small group of men in the 1980s. It never formed part of their political program and they clearly stated that they would agree to a long-term truce and accept a Palestinian state along the 1967 borders.
Israel has only ever sought to maintain the situation they created, which was to keep Gaza separate from the West Bank, with full U.S. support. Never mind that this is in defiance to the Oslo Accords, which maintained that Gaza and the West Bank must be preserved as a single territory.
In the view of Israel and the U.S., Gaza must be shut off completely from the rest of the word and the West Bank, what little is left of it after the settlements are built, will be separate and completely dependent on Israel.
Gazans are to be kept sieged in, denied access to arable land, denied fishing rights, denied exports and imports, and allowed only enough food and water as to ensure that they aren't obviously dying of starvation, as that wouldn't look good to the outside world and phaggots wouldn't be able to quote average life expectancy in defense of an apartheid regime.
