Monsieur Spade was really good, although there was a tiny blip at the end that was ho-hum.
Sam Spade has retired to France, and is older and almost dying, but he takes on one last case that threatens his family. Clive Owen makes a great Noir actor, and it's beautifully shot. Story isn't bad either. Tom Fontana (Oz, Homicide, Copper, etc....) and Scott Frank (Get Shorty, Minority Report, etc....) helped script it.

It's mini-series too, so you're only in for 6 episodes if you don't dig it as much.
