most important for the skin is if you're white, don't get much UV exposure. This is where most go wrong. Avoiding the sun is annoying and boring in the long run though so up to you.
This is also why asians in general age better than whites, because it's in their culture to avoid the sun. White skin as possible is status for them. Thus their skin stay tight and fresh. and not leathery and worn like whites that like to tan.
There's truth to that but the sun(in certain dosage) is a requirement for being healthy.
After the sun one can put butter from raw milk, raw eggs, cucumber purree on the skin to avoid damage. Before that coconut oil is a good protection.
It's also genetic - my father had over 25 years of daily exposure(minimum 4 hours) and his skin was softer than mine is now when he was in his late 70ies.
