If any R not named Trump was running, this election would be over.  The democrats hitched their wagon to a broken horse, circumvented the democratic primary process, then, when they couldn't hide it anymore, dumped their horse and anointed Harris.

They deserve to lose.

It's because of a few things - the media is definitely trying to suppress the assassination attempt, and are playing up Harris to be some sort of female People's Champion.

Trump is making errors since they were caught off guard.

This bump should pass, as Harris is legit the second worst candidate they could have run besides Biden.  She polled single digits when she ran, and has no positive record to run on.

The Democrats will smartly take a swing state off the table with their VP pick although they need to be careful with Shapiro because he could cost them MI. I’m sure they’re polling that now. The AZ senator would be the best, safe pick, and narrows the Republican’s already slim chances by one state.

Vance was an arrogant pick in the wake of the assassination attempt. He adds nothing to the ticket as OH was already going Republican.

It's not Trump's age that is a problem though.

He attacked Biden for mental acuity, which was proven correct.

The problem is a concerted effort by big tech and the media to make Harris something she isn't, and to suppress stories on the assassination.

I am a Harris voter but it would be easy to advise him for the win because the basic issues favor Republicans more than Democrats this cycle. TONE IT DOWN. Don’t go off half cocked all the time playing right into the age thing. Even if it’s a fake, act unifying.

Its a statistical tie in the polls right now it is going to come down to swing states late

Long explanation but a couple of highlights. Part of it is definitely a reaction to Trump, I just cannot stand him. But basically I am more Democrat than Republican on a lot of issues (economic fairness, robust rather than isolationist foreign policy, environmental, pro-choice and liberal on social issues). But I am way more Republican in two areas that relate to the rule of law: 1) immigration 2) support for law enforcement and a belief that consequences matter. I sometimes vote Republican locally.
