It was the 1973 Mr International held in Mexico , Sergio entered the contest and won then he had the epiphany to challenge Arnold to see who is the worlds best built man , now mind you Sergio lost 3 straight times to Arnold and once to Bill Pearl but he wanted to act the role
Arnold asked Weider if he should go onstage and Weider said " no " Joe got on mike and told Sergio if he wanted a crack at Arnold he should wait until the 1973 Mr Olympia which was held in New York one month later , Sergio wanted NO part of it , he insisted they face each other now .
