I'm big on judging the quarter turns and Yates absolutely owns all 4.  That is a great pic of Dorian from 97.  Maybe the best I've seen.

a torn calf wouldn't have hurt him bad as calves aren't required they are just nice to have, i've never heard of somebody losing a pose because of weak calves unless everything else was dead even

a torn quad would've been devastating because there is no way to hide that and it would be obvious in every frontal pose

a bodybuilding contest where differing views of what should win are held by the judges.
Bodybuilding Judging is largely Subjective & what is in the current trend.
