Like a robot, posting backstage, unposed shots. Very predictable..

Now for some on-stage, contest, tensed shots..Tier-B baby!

Right from the begining of his career he was nothing but A-list and Coleman was a backpacker  ;)

I think Flex was above and beyond Dorian , I feel his conditioning at the 93 ASC could beat any version of Dorian , just think if Flex never got into the car accident in 93 and showed up at the 94 Olympia with Yates looking the way did , you'd have a new Mr Olympia.

Whoa settle down slick lol, I wouldn't be so sure that Dorian would approve that Flex deserved to beat him.

He said Flex was the only one who could give him trouble , no one else had a legitmate chance .

Yes I remember reading that in FLEX in 2001 or 2002.  I don't agree with that statement though.  Had any number of top pros from his era showed up with Dorian's hardness I think they could have won.

His arms were not even top six material.

Probably the most fundamental thing separating this guy from one of the greats-17" arms on the torso of someone 245 lb. looks ridiculous.

I agree with you that Flex, at the 1993 ASC, deserved to beat any version of Dorian; one of the top five greatest physiues of all time. But in the way he showed up for that year's Olympia? No. I also think Dorian deserved to win in 1997, even though he was at his worst. All things considered, I think that all of his Olympias were earned. I make two exception for that. First, I think that Levrone was at his all-time best in 1995 and looked fantastic. Unfortunately for him, Dorian was super-tight, with almost perfect balance from head to toe. In 1996, Shawn Ray looked fantastic, too. But Dorian had so many strengh over him, in muscularity, skeletal balance, hardness, etc, that I still think Dorian was a deserving champ.

When are you going to get it through your head that Dorian's waist isn't as small as Ronnies so therefore its not scaled correctly .

Wow, you are a dumbass. Dorian in '93 had a small waist. Here are more pics from the contest.

He is an inch shorter than Ronnie. If his waist is the same size as Ronnie's, then it means Dorian's waist is proportionately larger. Ronnie also has a better x-frame which creates the illusion his waist is much smaller than it really is. So it's not farfetched to believe Dorian in '93 had the same size waist as Ronnie in '98/99. I find it amusing that you are arguing the comparison is not accurate b/c Dorian's waist should be wider.

Jackass you're showing me MY PICTURES I scanned those and Dorian's waist may have been small for Dorian but his waist was NEVER as small as Ronnie this is a fact plain & simple , to say his waist was the same size as Ronnie 98/99 shows your ignorance .

Dorian was lucky if he had a waist this small at 228lbs nevermind 250lbs .

Yates' lack of taper is striking once again in that last pic. The most striking thing about Yates continues to be how ordinary he is... :-\

Ronnie hasn't had to beat any good competition since becoming Mr. Olympia.  His toughest opponent has been Jay Cutler.  Dorian competed in the best era in bodybuilding history and dominated everyone.  Ronnie has had a few close calls at the O, and even lost to Gunter in the SOS.  Dorian would pick Ronnie apart in the mandatories and it would be game over, just as it was every time they competed against each other.  If Manion (or Demilia) ever show up on PBBW, maybe Dan & Bob can ask their opinion on this debate.

Who they've competed against would matter more if the judging and commercial interests of the IFBB didn't compromise contest results. Given that reality, your premise is void. Actually it works the other way-one can easily look at comparisons and see Dillet, Lavrone & Wheeler deserving of victories on an uncompromised playing field.

I don't care how bad Dillet's back is claimed in the usual stock excuse as to why Yates could be completely dominated on the more important frontal shots and still win. It's inexplicable and of course unquestioned by IFBB/Flex/Iron Age clones.

The only thing I don't understand...
You dont care how bad Dillet's back is...
BUT - That is a huge chunk of the mandatories... You cant give someone a win who is missing a WHOLE chunk of his physique..... I don't understand that logic....

No doubt his back was lacking! But why can't you acknowledge the equally glaring domination the other way from the front? From the front, Dillet dominates the way Coleman would've. And let's face it-front shots are the most important of all. In a serious contest that would've left them basically tied or Dillet slightly ahead.

This is the reality vs. what ND or Flex will tell you.
