Bhanky, how about a sort of experiment/test? Pick a small local show and do the same prep you did before. Then one week out, STOP. Just stop. Only 3 sets per body part for 20 reps Saturday and Monday before the show. Total body workout. You shouldn't even be sweating or trying hard. So don't really "work out", you know.
Keep the protein from Monday to Thursday clean - chicken and fish, keep the fat sources minimal and clean. Then when you do your carb up, you simply wait until you are backstage to push the blood around. Assuming your show is on a Saturday, that leaves you with 4 days prior that you didn't touch a weight. This rest and the incoming carbs will fill you up nicely.
Looking at some of the pics you posted from prior shows, you would have placed higher but you seemed to self sabotage at the last minute. This isn't knocking you. Just offering some advice.
