Trump is following through on his crypto promises.
ETH staking ETFs still haven’t been approved after almost a year, while Solana ETFs are already staking. I understand why that is. Solana’s staking model is much easier for an ETF structure because there’s no slashing risk and no meaningful unlock periods. From a regulator’s perspective, that makes approval simple.
The problem is that this “simplicity” comes at the cost of decentralization and real security. Solana’s staking is essentially centralized yield distribution. Validators are tightly controlled, there’s no slashing, and there’s very little penalty for bad behavior. That’s terrible from a decentralized security standpoint — but perfect if you’re an ETF that just wants predictable yield with minimal risk.
By contrast, ETH actually enforces slashing and has unlock periods, which is exactly what gives the network real economic security — and exactly what makes the SEC uncomfortable. I’m sure they’ll eventually figure it out, but for now, we’re still waiting.
Meanwhile, Trump and Melania rugged everyone. They made “billions” while regular holders were left bag-holding worthless tokens.
The so-called “strategic reserve” promise was complete BS. They’re not buying anything — they’re just holding crypto they already seized and pretending it’s policy.
To make matters worse, the SEC still hasn’t formally declared BTC, ETH, or other major tokens as commodities. This should have been clearly spelled out in binding legal documents by now. The regulatory uncertainty is deliberate.
The total crypto market cap is over $400 billion lower than when Donald Dump took office.
I voted for Trump, but he’s not pumping my bags. I honestly don’t even care that he’s an Israeli puppet — as long as I benefit financially. And right now, he’s done absolutely nothing.
If I were a trader who didn’t care about ETH fundamentals, I would’ve sold and bought back lower to grow my stack. I guess I should’ve known that Donald Dump’s main contribution would be injecting uncertainty into the markets instead of delivering results.
