No worries. I'm no econ expert, but from a macro lens I would think large tariffs on our two closest neighbors is not sustainable, or good for any of us long term, even with our leverage.
But it's truth that Mexico has enabled (with the help of Biden's admin) a ridiculous amount of folks to come in illegally. We all do believe in opportunity and the American Dream, but at some point math kicks in and makes it prohibitive and undermines that. That's when draconian border closings, mass deportation, and economic threats become necessary.
Extreme partisanship and TDS contribute to making it even more chaotic than it should be.
