Pretty sad story on a few levels. Latest has his wife dying about 5 days before he did. He was so far gone mentally he likely didn't know she had died. No one bothered to check on them. Worst thing is the dog in the kennel depending on them to feed and water him died.
2 Oscars, 3 Golden Globes. One of the most respected actors in Hollywood, yet apparently his and her circle of friends didn't reach out over that time span. I can kind of understand his friends. He was 95, they say he had Alzheimer's, and no response might be the norm. His pacemaker stopped and no one was alerted. But she was what, 63? If my wife goes 2 hrs without responding to her friends or family a red flag goes up. So 10 days? Kind of sad.
