Yep. My gym has a sign at the entrance reminding members they need to have another pair of shoes to train in that are dedicated indoor sports shoes and haven't been worn outside.

About 70% of the people take notice of this. I do because I'm not an asshole.

There's also a sign (there was - it's been removed recently) that says "For the comfort and consideration of ALL gym members, we request that all members speak in German." There is a large expat Russian population where I live - they tend to take over a bit and will usually speak Russian to each other. I guess it was for their benefit.

(I've seen people curling in the squat racks here though)

In my old gym, once a place for olympic weightlifters and powerlifters, there were coming in more and more of those kazakhs and other russian tribes. Telling everybody they are germans, but looking more like half chinese. They came because it runs like a club with a moderate fee, chewing sunflower seeds and loud bla-bla. I quit this place and went to the best gym in town with a fee thats five times higher, to avoid those people. I did not regret it, the money is well spent.
No need for signs here, people know how to behave and until today no one was curling in the squat rack.

No one at real men's gyms like genesis and muscleworks gives a fuck.
You train and don't talk shit.
