Similar legs. Generally I think most good PL's that dabble in BB tend to get a very 70s, early 80's look to their lower bodies.
Many would deduce it's because of the training. I think it's sort of the opposite, they gravitated to PL because they instinctively knew the muscle shape wasn't ideal for BB. If everyone had raved about Larry's BB potential from the start he would've done shows way earlier. And he would've kept going building more mass now.

Yes, no one would really have complained about a huge upper/lower imbalance back then. Platz was an anomaly. Mentzer claimed what all the extra drugs have done is seemingly ONLY increased quad size. Larry's quads unfortunately narrow slightly too high on his quad, but if you look a bit higher up the circumference, size, would have been excellent in the 70s and 80s, and even now is pretty good for a lower level amateur. Definitely everyone would identify his thighs as "BB quads" in the pic I posted. They are not aerobics housewife quads by any measure.
