That was a big ordeal you went through Wes. It takes balls to face it for sure. I've seen a relative who went through it and had a lung removed. Brutal surgery. You feel robbed of something when that happens.

A sibling's friend is dealing with cancer and she's not 50 yet. The surgery would result in her needing a urostomy bag for the remainder of her life - or some other bypass mechanism. She's opted to not go with it since life would not be worth it for her with all that BS and would rather face death like a warrior.

Thanks obsidian, what made it worse was the fact that I had over an entire year to dwell on this and trust me.........I was scared shitless.............out of my mind with fear.........it was a case of grow some balls or  die.

You`re friend will be in my prayers.

Welcome back my friend.  Elated that you are home and hopefully on the mend.  Back in 97, a co-worker and good friend underwent a kidney transplant.  At the time he was told that in 10 years he'd need another one.  Almost 30 years later, his is still going strong.  Before anyone says apples to oranges, my point is that modern medicine and science evolves and while my friends transplant has lasted 3 times the original expectancy, I'm hoping the same will be true of Wes' doctor's estimate of 2-7 years.  I'm going with 15-20 more for Wes.  Love you buddy.

I don't blame you. I don't like the idea of receiving general anaesthetics. People have died receiving tooth implants!

Thanks. She’s a friend of my sister’s. I haven’t seen her recently, but I’ve met her a few times. She’s a strong, athletic woman who prefers natural treatments and has maintained a great diet over the years. Of course, that’s no guarantee. I’ve seen far too many people lose their battle with cancer — it’s brutal. Hopefully, AI will one day help us find a real cure, though I’m not sure the powers that be truly want one. Some may even see the disease as a form of population control. Many elites have little interest in a large human population, and advances in AI won’t change their minds.
