Funk i like you & always have because of Bodybuilding old school stuff but.. if i was in the USA i would support the USA Flag.
If the South support that Flag ..let them as long as they don´t commit a crime then why worry?
I never said burning the flag was right. It just plain shouldn't be done. that simple.

The problem is it's free speech to burn the American flag but hate speech to burn the faggot flag or isreali flag. If it's free speech for one flag, should be free speech for all flags, right?

Spot on - If its okay to burn your National flag its okay to burn all flags.

I didn't say it was illegal. But in many places across this country burning either one of those flags is defined as hate speech and you can be charged for it.
No, the only thing you could be charged with is arson or vandalism if on private property.

Yep, I am for it. Burning a symbol of our country that represents freedom and our soldiers that fought and died for you to say stupid shit should be prosecuted. You act like prosecuting for flag desecration is some new concept. Desecrating it is a slap in the face to those that fought for it

If these soldiers died for your freedom, then that freedom surely includes the right to protest in ways that some people find offensive. It includes the right of not only the unwashed hippy, but the hypothetical Vietnam or Iraq veteran to burn a symbol of the state that sent them to kill and die for the interests of corporations.

It has already been established in cases like Texas v. Johnson that the flag protects itself by what it stands for. In criminalizing flag burning, you are not honoring what the flag represents but undermining it by seeking to enforce a vague concept of 'national unity' and freedom through the boot of authoritarianism.

And it's not like you give a shit about the troops, anyway. Sure, you play dress-up, pose with a Glock down your pants, and go on ruck marches, but you spit in the faces of all the U.S. servicemen who have had the courage to speak out against what is happening in Gaza right now by your continued defense of it, to give one example.

Former SF officers who have witnessed the wide-spread murder of women and children and dared to tell the world. An American airman who self-immolated in a desperate attempt to draw attention to the situation. IDF soldiers who have spoken out, and some who have killed themselves after being unable to live with what they have done. Former colleagues of mine who were deliberately targeted and killed in their marked security vehicles.

None of this has any bearing on your thoughts because you have no thoughts of your own. There are no depths to which you will not sink in order to defend the groups that you so desperately wish to be a part of. You're quite happy to jail peaceful protestors and send soldiers to die for Israel if that's what your party tells you to support, so it's no surprise to read yet another vacuous and bone-headed take from you here.

What are the chances this directive is designed to provoke flag burning which in turn will be used to justify further constitutional restrictions?

Why would anyone want to restrict the first amendment rights of Americans?

Ah yes, you are European and you have no understanding of the US constitution.  Kindly refrain from speaking on matters about which you are ignorant.

Feel free to try.  I’ll be all too happy to exercise my 2nd amendment rights and put a couple hollowpoints in your brain  :-*

I understand this is the case in Europe, where your government limits your freedoms.  Fortunately in the USA, we have the right to express ourselves without government infringement.

Freedom is scary.  Deal with it.

What do you carry?
