His kids are probably Star Wars-fans and you know that you have to please the kids during Halloween. :)

More often than not there is a combo of spooky shit and the kids favorite interests (Spiderman, Star Wars, My Hero Academia etc)

More likely he has no kids and is trying to lure the neighbourhood kids in

My wife and I don't have kids. We chose to rescue older yorkies that have been abandoned. I got the star wars animatronics because they are new and I was a big star wars fan when I was a kid. Just the original trilogy. The new stuff is crap. Plus no one else has these in their halloween setup. I was going for a movie theme with Jaws, Star Wars, Wizard of oz, etc with other things sprinkled in. My wife doesn't want me to make everything scary, so I put in some kiddie things. Especially by the door where she will hand out candy. I think of Halloween as an Adult holiday. Kids have Christmas. We get over 3000 people on Halloween night, and we count the kids which is around 800.

I liked Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.  Partly because just about everyone dies.  :D

I have to admit that was a good one. Especially the end which is the start of the first Star Wars. We finally got to see Darth Vader in battle in his prime. Pretty bad ass
