If I forgot all the brags that he sprinkled in there, he has a pretty unique and interesting way of looking at collecting.  His approach was very much that of an enthusiast - purchasing things that he liked, not what he thought would ascend in resale value.  Refreshing.  If I had a lot of disposable income, I would definitely collect ugly guitars.
