Tony Huge thinks he died peacefully as he had no fear of death. He had already seen the other side through his mind expanding experiments.

If I had to listen to that language all day, I'd probably jump in a lake too. Around 1:40 - 2:00, you can see him tread water and vanish. No chill to the Thais, most are bitching about the crazy American causing trouble and making the country look bad.
