Personally, I think it’s kinda lame for an adult to support someone based on the color of their skin, given that it’s an inherited trait and has nothing to do with an individual’s hard work. Just my personal opinion. I wouldn’t hold a child to the same standards.
The same could also be said about supporting your country's teams in various sports, if you are indigenous you don't choose your country. I don't remember who said it but someone came under criticism during the world cup for saying the French team isn't very French. If a Swedish team is mostly black I don't see it as Swedish, I'm sorry

I think feeling kinship with your race is hardwired. Idealistic whites try to deny it to themselves but do so to their detriment. Immigrants, "the browns," don't have these ideals and embrace their racism. Same for browns born in a mostly white country. Leftists don't have any problems with this because "browns can't be racist." What's amazing is that for example many American so called conservatives say they are race blind and are "anti-racists" and we have a few of these on Getbig LOL. Yes, with time blacks and whites will live in perfect harmony; these conservatives have been liberalized

Edit. Here's what I was referring to. Many or most people have these feelings but it's "wrong"
