You're right, I think about this often. I haven't read the Greeks but I briefly listened to some extreme right wingers talk about the Odysseus movie and about how the characters chose different lives for themselves. It may be cope but some say you shouldn't choose an easy or even a happy life, that's not meaningful, you as a man should do the right thing, whatever that is
