I know this is kind of a joke thread but I do pray before every workout--just that I can do my best, be focused, motivated, smart and intense and stay safe.  I guess it's part of my little pre-workout ritual.

I read years ago that John Brown did the same thing and I'm sure many others do, too.

Yeah, I was seriously scared of getting a hernia.  I pictured how the afternoon would suck sitting in the doc's office.

240, there is never too much praying. There's always something to pray about. Most people just stop when they are done praying for themselves, but they could do the right thing and pray for others who don't pray as often or don't pray at all.

i am christian. perhaps not the same way as most people here but i have something to say about this. God doesn't care about weight lifting or bodybuilding and does not bless our efforts in that. it's just not important. For me what works is to say LIGHT WEIGHT! LIGHT WEIGHT BABY!!!
