I feel zero sympathy for Mad Mazz......regardless of a heart condition that ran in his family, he'd been pressin his luck for years by annually partaking in a serious illegal bb drug regimen.....eh, some bbs come out ok and some don't.....Mike didn't come out ok.   He knew the risks, he had no backup plan.......it was a gamble and he lost.

I doubt it had as much to do with drugs as you think. My money is on the tremendous amount of beef the man consumed over his career. Seven or more meals a day in the offseason is tough on your heart. Not to mention the tremendous mass he carried.

That's why most bodybuilders try to get several sponsors.  30 g's just ain't gonna do it.  Shit that's poverty by most people's standards.  I made more than that while I was working as a security guard while I went to college at about 19.

Mike was a nice (albeit not intelligent) guy from the wrong side of the tracks in Boston.  The best he could have ever hoped for was either laying bricks or being a cop.  The fact that he's a washed up bodybuilder doesnt preclude him from still fulfilling that destiny.
