Of course in sprints they're virtually always at their physical limit, thus a high likelihood of injuries like that.

 I mean the absolute limits of peak speed that they can safely reach.

The drugs are causing more injuries as the muscles get stronger than the ligaments can handle in explosive bursts. Ben Johnson was injured prior to Seoul and might've had more problems had he continued running.

 That's true. Torn muscles seem to happen in bodybuilding as drug use has grown.

Gatlin will be found to be clean.  Man is amazing.  I wish track and field got more attention.
