In all seriousness, no, I don't think that is the best front lat spread ever.

But it does display details that other pros who have great lats are missing: great chest and great quads.

Perfect examples are Dorian and Orville: great lats, not much else.

In order to have a great lat spread, you have to have more than just lats.

You could only dream Coleman's was as good as Yates , I love how with all the supposed advanatges Coleman has he doesn't look anywhere near as good as Dorian in that pose ( or hell most poses ) Mike Quinn said at the 1991 Mr Olympia that Haney beat everyone in the front latspread for years and along came Dorian who beat him as his own pose !! much like Cutler is now doing to Ronnie

just out of curiosity i edited out about 10% of these two photos and put them up against each other. logically if, in an entire pose, only one muscle is better than the other guy while he loses on the remaining 90%, he loses the pose. so weigh your opinions here.

you are killing me bro..how can you even start to compare 2 bodybuilders when they dont stand next to eachother?? you cant!!! pics are illusions UNLESS the 2 guys stand next to eachother in the same pic! then they both have same conditions. in general with out any doubt ron takes dorian on every muscle beside calf shape! shape!!!! not size.

I saw this dude a few years back at the Mr'"O" expo here in Vegas...I've been involed in bodybuilding a long time and have seen a lot of these guys in person but I've never seen arms that big...the dude is unreal...but goes to show that it takes more then big arms to win the shows

well my point was mostly that i think way too many people here only look at the muscle the pose is named after, forgetting that if that were the case then hamstrings, traps, calves, and shoulders wouldn't matter because no poses "focus" on those muscles.

so i took two guys doing front lat poses and edited out the lats, curious as to what people would say when they're forced to compare everything else.

That shot I thought was perhaps the best rear lat spread I had ever seen until I saw some of Yates and Coleman.

Remember all the times ND has aruged that even though a bodybuilder might have inferior upper back, arms, lower back, glutes and hams, when compared to Ronnie, he would lose the back double biceps pose because of the calves?!?

Again, I think Dorian has the best looking lats when viewed from the front in a front lat spread. But the rest of entire pose (chest, arms, delts, legs) SUCKS.
