The main reason why he is hated upon here is twofold:

1. Most members, although newer than when it happened are aware of the fact that Kamali came here and caused a bit of a stir. Doing things like making fake accounts to hype himself up and basically being childish.

2. Shawn Ray who got called out by Kamali early on hates him and won't delete any of the hate about him.

Kamali has been quiet though lately, still I wonder whether he's been enthusing "his peepz" to come here and talk him up for they surely have.

My training partner constantly references that hugging row/deadlift photo. He doesn't know much about the guy, but he knows that picture and laughs at it all the time

And regarding the hate,

A few things to remember:

* Kamali once claimed he was able to beat Shawn Ray, he was gonna "kick Shawn Ray's ass".

* He made up a story about how Shawn Ray told him that he had no future in bodybuilding, but rather should go look for a job at McDonalds.

Especially the latter fact has extreme potential. It seems like the made-up story that he presented in order to create a feud between himself and Shawn Ray eventually seems like a fair advice.

Shawn Ray probably wishes he actually would've said that to Shahriar.

Now Shahriar will always have to deal with the Fast Food references and jokes.

When King had a pic of himself with a sign that put down getbiggers, the hate flowed. When talk about Shawn Ray-- "he's short, has small dick..." The hate flowed, not to mention SHawn has probably had more women than Kamli has steriod injections.

When Kamali made fun of Jonathan Ogden of the Balt. Ravens, because he went to with him...He really was delusional of how great he was.

Sorry, I didn't put high school in the sentence. He said that in high School Jonathan Ogden couldn't walk straight, he was always tripping. Kamali was said he made fun of him, this was all in MuslceMag interview he did when he first came on the scene. The way Kamali put it, Ogden was blundering idiot ( that makes millions more than Kamali would ever see), and Kamali was hip, cool guy. Which is the way delusional wanna-be's tend to see themselves--everybody else is a actor in your world , and you can do no wrong.
