I believe the woman with Bob in that pic is Heather Darling. I really don't think she's Bob's girlfriend, but a New Jersey based bodybuilder who probably trains at his gym.
Bob's a cool guy who's been around bodybuilding a LONG time. He's probably forgotten more about the sport and its competitors than most of you know. Yeah he's a bit strange, but who in this industry isn't?
Oh, and Strong & Shapley is a GREAT gym.

I used to read Gregg Column in md and I am pretty sure he said that Bob dated a female bodybuilder and liked the extra package. They even took turns riding each other's asses. Also read about how Bob got gregg and himself some female?? prostitues that where 17 years old. Gregg is still dating her??, Mercedes. |

Bob Bonham - Been in the game for a great number of years and as far as I am concerned - an all around great person in his own right.
Haven't seen Bob in the past ten years or so. Thanks for posting his photo on this Board. He stays in shape and still looks younger than his years.
Yes, Bob is a great guy and as far as I am concerned, an icon in our industry. He is one those behind the scene guys who helps the athletes, oh, and also owns the best gym on the east coast-Strong and Shapely. I do all my shoots there. |

I train there too and it is definately the best gym in Jersey period. For those who've never been there, it's a 25,000 sq ft gym with great equipment. I was kind of pissed when the changed the plate loading hammer strength back equipment for the stacks which have a totally different feel to them but other than that it's great. I sure do miss the original hammer strength equipment you had there Bob, any chance it'll make a comeback? If you guys are ever in Jersey or NY you ought to drive out to East Rutherford and check it out, it's worth the trip. |
