what we can do -- for those who don't want their friends seeing them - i can photoshop some sunglasses and a fake nose on them. This way, we still see the size of their head and their male pattern baldness, etc... but they won't show their entire face.

Anyone that competes has balls and shouldn't be afraid. If they are, they need to conquer that fear and do it anyway! Plenty of people are willing, if anyone gets cold feet and wants to back out, they can. It will be a buzzkill to see competitors with photoshopped faces. Come on! You're being judged by Sean Ray and Lee Priest for chrisakes!

Issue 3:

TheLuke expressed concern that the contest doesn't give enough time for competitors to diet down.

I understand the concern, but this type of thing survives on momentum, and we aren't slowing it down. Someone will have major bragging rights, major publicity, and major prizes as we go into the Mr.Olympia 2006 one week after the Mr.Getbig. Luckily, you WILL have plenty of time to get in shape for 2007!

The contest will go on as scheduled. Judging will begin the Sept. 22 for the Mr.Getbig and the 23 for the Mr.Natural Getbig. Please get your pics in before Sept. 20. We can't guarantee you will be able to compete if they are submitted later than that.

Changes to the rules and judging between now and Sept. will be small. Any amendments added will be with your best interest in mind (competitors).

Our main issue right now that will be dealt with in the next few days is making sure photos are legit, verification, etc. There are already great suggestions floating around by 240, lift studios, et al. It's just a simple matter of working out the details and implementing them.

I see you guys' point. I have no agenda, other than making it a big payday for the to p10 guys.

I came up with that 1 month out because I got a few emails from very interested competitors who aren't registered, who only lurk.

Anyone have any ideas for a solution which prevents last minute ringers, but doesn't hurt thost ppl who read everyday but never post, who want to compete?

I'm open to it. Oliver get teh final call, as he is handling the rules and I am handling the promotions/sponsors. But I am sure both of us would like to hear input on it. This contest is organic, and developing/growing as better and better ideas come in.

If we used June 1, what do we do about those lurkers who have never felt a need to register before now?
