Star Wars theme music, Superman music( out came a bantamweight ) or I remember at the Illinois State show in 2003...7 "bruthas" posed to DMX...' X gonna giv it to ya gonna give it to ya..." in the same show...had to be 5 or 6 'non-bruthas' posed to that Evanescense(sp?) song..."wake me up inside...wake me up inside...save me from the nothing I become..."

Never pick a song that is popular at the moment. Most popular song I think for BB's since Kevin used it in 2003...is Staind "So Far Away". Every show...I say 'not again...'

Bodybuilding Girls...dont pose to 'Party People' by Missy Elliot. Played out.

Don't know the name of the song, but it begins with a whispered "let the bodies hit the floor."  HATE IT.  Must have been used by ten guys in one competition.

Holy shit. Same thing happened here at a local show in my area. Every other guy had that song to pose to.

Have the ASCAP POLICE ever tried to come down on Bodybuilding Shows for not paying royalties for some of the songs used - Supposedly every songwriter should be compensated whenever/however their music is used - that even goes for songs on the elevator music - even though it may be pennies it all ads up just ask the heirs of the people that wrote HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Could it be promoters pay a one time blanket fee to ASCAP

No way..he didn't...really??? wtf? THAT is pretty sad.
I see somebody already mentioned flsah dance, and yes I have seen some DUDES pose to this and get all overly dramtic, THAT is pretty damn fruity.

One of the coolest routines I ever saw was from the guy that won an over 50 div at the La state meet and did the Otis Day and the Knights "Hey ay, hey ah" song, from animal house

Local show - A guy posed to Pump up the Jam.  Floral print speedos. Vinnie G had more definition than this guy.  He walked away with a trophy though because there were only four guys in his class and they gave out to the top five.  Next week he was in the gym showing it to people talking about "how he got screwed".

about 7 years ago all the "local legends" were posing to the song from the Titanic, whatever it was, it sucked.  A fags favorite.

I saw a guy pose to Styx's "Mr.Roboto", he even tried to do the robotics. It was pretty cheesy & another guy posed to John Denver's Thank God, I'm a Country Boy", It too was quite sad.Let's see,  guy in the same show I did posed to 'Wind beneath my wings" & dedicated it to his wife (3/4 of the audience was dry-heaving)

Most of the guys aren't sophisticated enough to realize that their choice of bad commercial music trivializes the presentation and takes away from the sacrifice instead of enhancing it. The whole thing becomes more of a comedy skit.

Some of the guys from the 60s & 70s like Zane used a more interesting range of music.

I think that, to a certain extent, it depends on the bodybuilder and their routine. For example, in the 2004 Mr Olympia, both Chris Cormier and Darrem charles posed to 'Lean back' (by Fat Joe ?). Chris looked liked a retard doing his routine to that song - almost like he just walked onstage and made the routine up as he went along. Darrem's routine was the exact opposite - he was very graceful, smooth, fluid and co-ordinated. It was a pleasure to watch a big guy move like that - very cool.

BTW I personally prefer the kind of routine Dorian had in the 1995 Mr Olympia, as did Mike Francois from the same. Guys posing to soft, bedroom music sh*t should just be a no no  :-\

Does anyone here remember when Cormier was color commentating at the 2003 Mr 'O'? He such a fuggin....well anyway...

Kevin came out to pose...he posed to Staind 'So Far Away'. Awesome routine...Chris says...'Yea, kevin is an enigma of the sport...you'd think he'd pose to hip/hop or rap...but eh...Kevin is more of a rock guy....he's more of a.....a.....he's more of a....a...Nirvana...or eh.....Jimmy...eh...Jimm y Paige or something..."

Made me shake my head. Now...I live in 'my world' as well...but if I were color commentating and Johnny Jackson I'll use as an example came out and posed to metal or something...I would KNOW because I dont bury myself with 'my culture only'...I would say...'Yea, Johnny Jackson...going w/ a little metal today...Johnny usually poses to Pac, or Busta...he even likes to throw a little Mike Jones in there if he feels the need"

 Now if I was a typical cra-ker...I would say...'Johnny Jackson...going w/ metal today...he usually poses to...eh...uh....ummm.... eh....RUN-MC...or....uh....ummm....Vanilla Ice-T or something..."
