Fact my ass !! Labrada is the template for the classic phsyique. he's like a short Steve Reeves , Ray has a very pleasing phsyique and he has the edge on thickness but Labrada is has the edge on balance & proportion and overall lines.

Lee has better structure/lines. However, Gold's fullness, crisp detail, separation and mass beats out Lee.

Ray was at his best- dry as the desert and full, when Lee beat him.

Lee was on his way out of the sport later.

man this thread really shows those who never saw the competitions these guys competed in.

the side by side comparisons, compulsories and free posing and pose downs.

even this argument about mass.....LL had mass too.

go through the compulsories of those olympias and then get back.

the judging was almost spot on for that period, Haney 1, Yates 2 (then 1), Labrada 3, Ray 4 or 5....but levrone could probably bump these guys up another by taking the number 3 spot.

end of story.

shawn has the added advantage of having arguably history's greatest midsection

that relaxed shot shows how much more full shawn was while still displaying great dryness. He looked better than Labrada when he was in top shape. (and why he placed second at the O. in 93 when both Labrada and Ray were in 100% top shape).

When Labrada was ON and Shawn was not 100% Ray lost.

When he was ON, even if Lee was in fantastic shape, Shawn won.

I dont think Labrada's lines are any more or less pleasing than Shawns. In a classic sense they are better but that doesnt have to mean that they are more pleasing. The shape of Shawn's muscles are what make his lines great not his structure.

I think Shawn's posing is exceptional and he is an expert at showing his strenghths and hiding his flaws.

gotta say shawn. back when lee and him were both competing i was a huge labrada fan.. BUT... still think shawn had probably one of the best physiques ever

And for your further information the Czech Republic is a country in Europe.

If you`re a bodybuilder good enough to compete at a World Championship you have to pay nothing.
Your country will, so out of your bathroom and compete "Mr. Bathroom"

Nothing. That was a joke. In general it depends on your home country. Some World Champions get money others don`t.
Like everything, you do it for yourself, because you love the sport and try to achieve the best possible. That`s it.

So it`s like almost everything in life (sports, profession, relationship etc.).
you invest in something without knowing if you`ll get something back one day

But now we should return to the topic....
