IMO...... the higher ups are still trying to deflect the claims that its a barbaric sport. because it was a high profile fight means lots of people are watching.they dont want someone seriously hurt infront of this big audience which would give the nay-sayers more ammo.

ken's got a good chin. he can take up to 30-35 elbows before anything breaks. so the ref stopped it about 30 elbows too early.

The stoppage was inconsequential. Ken can't beat Tito period. The guy is too old for the sport.

Ken stormed off like a biotch after the fight and didn't give a post-fight interview...the fight was probably stopped a little early, but I think we all know what would have happened if Herb Dean let it go a little longer....though it would have been nice to see a little more blood

Stop was too early for a fight that was so hyped up! Shamrock or anybody can take more shots then that, the last 3 were not even on his head but his chest and close to neck, regardless if tito would have probably won anyway. Its the man's last fight and a fight he wanted badly they didn't even let the fight happen. After that weak ass shit stop, I think I am going to lean more into the pride fighting, they are fucking hardcore. And yes silva is going to murder chuck, if chuck gets smart and take the fight to the ground, he might actually have a chance, but I doubt he will do that.

I'm with you bro! I had a chance to meet Dana White and become somewhat friends with him but I gotta say that Pride has way more action! I have been a one sided ufc fan but now i'm getting into Pride! If Dana wants to get real he'll need to step up the Paydays and recruit some Pride guys quick before people loose interest!

i have a fight on my PC between Vitor and Sak, and Sak actually runs at Vitor whilst hes grounded, jumps as high up in the air as he can and smashes down onto him. Its inspiring stuff!!!

Agreed. Ken didn't know where he was. I like Herb Dean and I think he does a good job. I would not be surprised if he had orders from Dana to be careful of Ken. I mean they guy almost had a heart attack in the ring against Fujita, and seems mentally unstable.

Knees and elbows are extremely dangerous. in a split second, someone could die. This sport has already been on the verge of being completely banned. The ref's job is to protect the fighters, not to make a show for the people. Herb did what he thought was right to protect Ken.

This fight was a forgone conclusion. If you want to be upset at anybody, be upset with Dana White for allowing this stupid mismatch to take place. Not only for allowing it it take place, but making it (more or less), a main event. Now THAT is bullshit.

I think there was generally more interest in that fight that the Tim Sylvia vs. Arlovski fight. I felt like the PPV was more about Tito and Ken than the title defense later in the evening. Drama sells.

You are correct. But when it ends up like this, it also leaves a bad taste. With this and the Hughes-Gracie fiasco, Dana has served up two major embarrassments. He better get back to booking competitive matches and leave the WWE shite to Vince.
