Is that real? Looks like there is a vague halo around Arnolds head, making me think its been morphed. Could obviously just be Arnolds halo though

those guys look well over a foot taller than arnold in that pic...andre looks 7-2+ and wilt looks 7-5+ and he wasnt that tall...

He hated it actually. Some biography said that all he wanted most times was to be average in size so he could do average things and not have people stare.

wrestlers heights are slightly exaggerated normally, in wrestlemania 3, andre isnt much taller than hogan.

I'm 6"0-6"1 I would absolutely HATE to be any taller, I have friends that are in the 6'6, 6'8 range and they all hate it as well, they feel like freaks.
Also women aren't as into them because of their freaky height.

pfft, Wilt was a great athlete(he was strong for a man his height) and so was Andre. They'd give Arnie a run for his money.

That photo was in Muscular Development about 20 years ago around the time when that particular Conan movie was out around 1984 or 1985. (MD was still a York product). I've still got the mag, but I don't remember the specific issue.

I saw his Bio on the Biography channel not long ago, he was always depressed, got drunk all the time and didn't really value his own health or well being but cared deeply about all his family members and friends. A great guy but a sad story

I saw that biography too. I believe they said Andre reached a final height of 7'2...which isn't that far off from what they said in wrestling. Although heights and weights are often exaggerated, they didn't have to with Andre. He was a true giant.
