You need to re-read your PMs Racquel.  I never called you either of those.  If you want to put it out in the open, put out all the facts not just what you feel was "implyed".  AND you know me better than that to think that I would consider your occupation as part of the scenario.  You don't have to be a stripper to flirt with a man.   Angry

I don't want to put it out here for yours and Michaels benefit, don't give a rat's ass about my rep.
But I still believe it had a lot to do with it.

Just what the hell do you want from me?

As far as the stripper thing, I think women in general do judge them. Partly because the average dancer is, by nature of her profession, not exactly 300lbs and 80 years old - they are generally attractive. For us here, who are into training/dieting so we generally have reasonable bodies, the envy factor would not really apply - but for some fat ass suburban housewife it might. The other part would be on moral grounds quite obviously.

I personally, could care less what someone does. I would never 'shun' someone for being a stripper. Mind you, I would be devasted if my daughter became one. I would love her still the same, but would be very keen to get her to stop.

Racquel - What lead you into it anyway? If I am being too pokey feel free to tell me to shut up Cheesy

Our benefit??  Are you kidding?  What the hell benefit do any of us have regarding this?  You are the one talking about left and right (going on about being called something I never called you).  To be honest Racquel, all I wanted was for you to say you were sorry.  I didn't pin the blame on either one of you, I just told you both how I felt about the converstation.  You stated it was a game and stuck by those guns.  Well if hurting me (a friend) is a game to you... nevermind.  All I know is that I would never have talked to Jack or anyone else you had an interest with in such a flirtatious matter.  You keep bringing the "stripper" shit into it like it makes you a hardass bad girl.  Unless you lied to me, I know your past and that hardass shit is just a front.  You need to start recognizing that you're more than just a body.  Until you come to that "realization" you will just continue to put yourself lower and lower, and you DON'T belong there.

I never called you anything.

I used to be an EMT.  Saw too much bad, I crashed and burned hard. I always loved to dance as a kid and it is brain dead low stress work.  Nobody is going to die if I trip up on stage.  Now the money is too good to give up.

Silly question...
I know more men who can't / won't dance, never clouded my judgment.
I even offer to teach a few of them.

I've found it is a rare man who really likes to dance

Antonio is an over rated actor (but hot)

Try Gene Kelly (Fred Aistaire was never good looking in my books).

I knew 2 dancers that were previous EMT's, one of them would pretty much crack when she thought about the stuff she saw, and the other was just kinda down about it.
Apparently it's pretty bad, and basically from the stories I gather sometimes EMTs are first on the scene in dangerous situations, helping a person and trying to keep alive themselves.

Wow, I've been gone for a day and look at all I miss!!

I would never judge a person (man or woman) based on their occupation.  What people do with their time, body, and personal image is their business.  I'm a friend to anyone who is honest and fun to be with.

I feel like the reason strippers, prostitutes, escorts, etc. are looked down upon is because of their image.  They are known to break up marriages, and cause infidelities.  Your tits are in someone's husbands face, he puts his hands on your body and wont touch his wife.  A woman with esteem problems, or a husband that doesnt spend quality time with her will blame YOU for her marital problems.  Instead of blaming her husband.  Any woman with a brain knows that a man is VISUALLY STIMULATED,  the problem is these woman don't have the balls to show their man some tits or ass.  Then they wonder why these boys want to go to strip clubs.  Because of this...unfortunatly, you have become the enemy.

Its all a game from the time you start dating, into marriage, and so on with men.  They are so easy to keep happy, but it causes a little work on our part as women.  Although I am 6 mos pregnant (no, the belly is not too big) I still intice Bob.  I walk around in a thong, because I know he is looking.  I put my breasts in his face all the time.  He likes it and it turns him on.  He gets satisfied at home and doesnt have the yearning to look elsewhere.

Original sin (Raquel), as long as you are happy and satisfied doing what you do....good for you.  As long as you keep your dignity and a positive self image, there is nothing different between the two of us.  And I will always treat you that way.

Take Cheri and I for example... (this will remain vague, as the details aren't really needed)
She is angry (livid) at me for my actions.  I don't argue the fact that she has every right to be.  A serious case of bad judgement on my part. BUT her implications (or just my perception maybe) of calling me a backstabbing manstealing bitch have me livid with her.
Now would the situation even occur if my occupation wasn't part of the scenario?
I do know for a fact that if everything came out into the light ALL the ladies would rally to the side opposite the slutty stripper.  Seen it a hundred times.

I would really like to know why for once.  I know I would never hear such a thing to my face, but since anonymity is almost complete here (except for a few ladies) please speak up.

If I felt someone was trying to steal my husband, whether she was a stripper or a surgeon, I would dislike her the same amount.

proschic is right though, the main responsibility is with the spouse that cheats.

I agree...your occupation does not change your attitude.  Especially if you are a "home wrecker".  If Bob ever cheated...I would always blame him first, whether the woman knew he was married or not.  If it was a friend of mine...I would STILL blame him first.  Men are let off too easy when it comes to infidelities because his woman doesn't want to admit that HE chose someone else.  She always wants to blame the other woman.  You hear the excuses..."oh she seduced him", or "she put it all in his face, he gave in".  Yea, well he chose HER over YOU.  Deal with it!

I don't put up with cheating at all.  No 3 strikes, no get out of jail free card.  If he does it, hes gone.  Simple as that.  I would rather live with out the love of my life and have dignity, than wonder what he is doing every moment we are not together.  Life is too short to be with a cheater.

I've never been a stripper, but I have worked in gentlemen's clubs, and my closest friend for the longest time was a former exotic dancer. From what I've observed, I think a good majority of women are intimidated and threatened by dancers. There's a certain mystique about them that is shared by both men & women. Rightly or wrongly, most consider it a milder form of prostitution, and as such, women see them as being easily capable of leading their men astray, ...and men see them as attainable for the right price.

This is inevitably gonna lead to problems. Society by & large doesn't respect or value women, unless she's either the saint or the prostitute. If she's a saint, she's worshipped from afar, ...and if she's the prostitute she's worshipped AND attainable. That is the perception, ...and for insecure women, that is the threat. Personally, I think they should just get over it. We're all prostitutes to some extent. I don't mean that as an offense or insult, or to imply that I'm better than you. I considered my own occupation as a film actress as a milder form of prostitution as well. It's a free world, and you have the right to make decisions for yourself and your life as you choose. While your decisions for your life may not be the same ones I would make for mine, far be it for me to "look down on you" for the choices you've made. Different strokes for different folks. Your career choice is not for me, and that's all there is to that. Now, how you treat me, that's where I would start looking down my nose on you, ...or start respecting you. Not by what you do for a living, but by how you live with others and yourself. Not everyone thinks that way, ...but if someone can't deal with you, they're not worth dealing with. Don't sweat it. Just accept the reality of the baggage that comes with the profession you chose, and move on.
