IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Shari “King” Kamali 284 pounds?
Tonight on “Big Nation” radio, King Kamali’s long time friend and trainer, Jim Magnone, reported Shari is currently tipping the scales at 284lbs. King is seven weeks out from the 2008 IRONMAN Pro with hopes of getting a special invite to the Arnold Classic.

Lonnie “The Swami” Teper weighs all the competitors at a Friday night press conference. How much will King weigh on The Swami scale? Will King qualify for the Olympia by placing in the top five? Will he do well enough to receive a special invite to the Arnold Classic? We’ll have to wait and see.

The last time King was on the IRONMAN stage (2005) he weighed in at 254lbs and placed fifth. After the 2005 IRONMAN weigh-in, Ron Avidan reported: “King Kamali weighing in at 254 pounds raised some eyebrows, as this looks like his heaviest weight ever, and since King Kamali is very quiet the day before the show and hardly said anything, he may just surprise us yet.”
King’s 2005 Ironman pic looks great…he’s ripped and doesn’t have that distended stomach/insulin gut.
I just hope his going all out for mass, like he wrote in MMI, isn’t going to make him get the Ronnie Coleman look….that would be another body destroyed by the insane quest for mass….even if the IFBB judges are the people who are pushing for this (sadly).
Although he may have gained those precious extra few pounds I still don’t believe that Kamali will have what it takes to get a decent placing. Unfortunately he just is who he is. Nice physique, but unfortunately hasn’t got what it takes. However Kamali…You are still a king of ‘The Iron Game’!
Hopefully he brings up his arms and loses that ugly gut with his new mass. With the new found mass and hopefully better details to the back, quads, glutes and hams he should be up there. Will he? I personally don’t think so. But I’ll be positive to hope he does.
I think Craig Titus could still beat him! Kamali is washed up.

King is a beast and is getting better as he goes. Watch him destroy the competition and suprise everyone with a top 3 finish !

Exactly. Easy to coach from the sidelines ! Look what Flex Wheeler did when he transformed his physique. Kamali is doing to same thing and it will show at the next show.

King looks good to me. Not everyone can have that Dexter Jackson or Shawn Ray look. Jay Cutler really doesn’t look all that good even when he won the O back to back but everybody likes him (including me) but it is what it is. All the haters don’t even work out, they just do what they do best; hate.
