NPC Los Angeles info – will Reginald Brantley win?
The 2009 NPC Los Angeles is coming up this weekend on Saturday, July 18th. Promoter Jon Lindsay is going to have over 170 competitors (not counting crossovers), including close to 30 NPC Bikini competitors. We wll be taking pictures for bodybuilding.com, getbig.com and hardbody.com. The NPC Los Angeles is one exciting show, as we get to check out which competitors are vying to be in their best shape in preparing for the NPC USA one week later (in Vegas).
So come out to Culver City and support the show, and check out some of the best competitors in Los Angeles.
So who is my pick for the NPC Los Angeles to win in men’s bodybuilding. None other than Reggie the Machine, or Reginald Brantley, who barely lost the Super Heavyweight title at the NPC Orange County to the person I picked to win that show (Ronald Sargeant). Here is Reginald at the NPC Orange County, looking great, but will be in even better shape come the NPC Los Angeles.
I went to this contest. Reggie was in amazing shape. The guy who won wasn’t nearly as ripped. Reggie looked like he was carved out of stone.
Reggie the machine looked awesome at the show. He was ripped off from the receiving his well deserved first place. It makes one wonder what the judges were thinking. Is it really about how well you present, or how well one plays the political game. Whatever it is, the best body should win, and Reggie the Machine topped all of them.
Reggie will be in even better shape in Los Angeles? Wow. That would be impressive as I don’t see how he could get more pumped.
Reginald looks “ripped.” Unfortunately it sounds like he was “ripped off!” I wasn’t there, so I can’t say — but I’m just going off the two comments above.
Great muscularity, definition, vascularity and symmetry. The only thing I think Reginald could work on is his smile. It might just be this picture, but his expression might be what affected the judges.

Your well-sculpted physique is a tribute to your sheer persistence, and it is an inspiration to all of us. Reminds me of another great of the ’60s, Harold Poole. Don’t worry about winning the championship or otherwise — if you win, you do the award an honor. If not, remember that awards are no indicator of achievement. In any case, your fans are solidly behind you !!
