NPC San Diego BB, Bikini and Figure contest
With the start of a busy NPC California year, the NPC San Diego is the first contest of the year, and already it is going in the record books as one of the most popular ever. With 190+ competitors, not counting crossovers, we are looking at a sold out, unreal event in which the best of the best competitors are looking to present a great physique on stage. 2010 NPC USAs – more pros cards, new host hotel
Something tells me that the 2010 NPC USA’s are going to be the biggest and best ever. This year, the NPC USA’s will award 4 IFBB pro cards to the Men’s Bodybuilders and 2 IFBB pro cards to the Women’s Bodybuilders. Additionally, there will be 6 IFBB pro cards each for both the Figure and Bikini divisions. The event hotel for this years event has also changed, to the Embassy Suites – Convention Center, at 3600 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, Nevada.

2010 NPC USA will give out 4 pro cards to the mens
The 2010 NPC USA’s on July 30-31st in Las Vegas is going to be the biggest ever. And this year, they will be awarding FOUR IFBB Pro cards for the Men’s division, for the top 4 overall out of 7 divisions (last year, it was only 3). Add to that 6 IFBB Pro cards for the bikini division, 6 IFBB Pro cards for the figure division, and 2 IFBB Pro cards for the Women’s bodybuilding division. 2009 NPC Excalibur – Dec 5th
The 2009 NPC Excalibur is the last NPC contest of the year in Southern California, where over 170 competitors are going to meet up. The location is the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium in Culver City. The featured guest poser will be Kris Murrell, who just won the overall at the NPC National’s in women’s bodybuilding. We will be there taking pictures and more. NPC National Bodybuilding, Figure & Bikini contest – Nov 20-21st
HOLLYWOOD, Fla.– (BUSINESS WIRE) –The big guns are loaded and the bombshells will be out in full force! The NPC Nationals returns to South Florida – this time at one of the classiest resorts in Florida – the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood! With more than 500 of the ultimate bodybuilding, figure and bikini athletes from 50 states competing, it looks like the 2009 Nationals will be the biggest one ever!
This pro qualifier – each class winner qualifies for the professional Grand Prix tour – will be held right in the host hotel in the Westin’s Great Hall and is billed as the “BATTLE AT THE BEACH 2009” – where the best of the nation’s NPC athletes vie for their pro status, at the one event that sets the standard – the event that features the best from across America…and is the road to the Olympia! The sanctioning body, the National Physique Committee of the USA (NPC), the NCAA of competitive amateur bodybuilding, sanctions more than 1,000 events around the country, which lead up to this – its “crown jewel” and premier championship event.

2010 NPC Jr. USA – New Date and New City
Tres Bennet and Lee Thompson are please to announce that the 2010 NPC Jr. USA has been moved to Houston (Stafford), TX on August 28th!
The venue is the Stafford Centre’ ( http://www.staffordcentre.com ). The contest hotel, Marriott Residence Inn (Marriott Courtyard for overflow) in Stafford has small kitchenettes and is beautiful. Food and shopping within walking distance. Stay tuned for updates.

The 2009 IFBB / NPC Border States will be held on Saturday, October 17th, in San Diego, at the Scottish Rite Auditorium. This competition is going to be huge, with over 130 competitors! 2009 NPC Pacific USA Naturals in Anaheim, CA
There are a number of NPC bodybuilding, figure and bikini contest around the USA this weekend, including the IFBB/NPC Europa Super Show in Dallas, Texas. But for those who are not going to Dallas, in California, Jon Lindsay is promoting the annual NPC Pacific USA Naturals. Here is a poster of the event.
Team Universe Adds a Division & Pro Card
Ladies here’s your chance at another pro card next month at the Team Universe Figure Championships. Promoter Steve Weinberger informed me this morning that they’ve added a new division and another pro card to the event. Women can enter the Open AND the Master’s division. The top two in the open bikini and figure will be eligible for IFBB pro status as well as the Master’s figure overall winner.

Please note that, effective immediately, the policy for receiving free tickets to the IFBB Professional League contests and NPC national events is changed as a results of complaints from promoters that, among other things, IFBB professional athletes are demanding free tickets not only for themselves but also for their family and friends; and are requesting these tickets on the day of the contest or event without any consideration for the limited space available at some venues.
IFBB professional athletes will receive one (1) ticket to IFBB professional contests and NPC national events only if the request for such ticket is submitted to the IFBB Professional League or NPC national office before the contest or event. You must provide proof of current membership, which will be verified by the IFBB Professional League or NPC national office.
Additional tickets may be available at the sole discretion of the individual promoters.
