Wow, this weekend was an incredible weekend, with each contest creating new superstars and unexpected surprises. We were all over, taking pictures from the stage, backstage, in the expo, at the seminar on Sunday, and even on Thursday, with the competitors meeting, and Meet the Olympians. 2009 Olympia 202lbs and Under Results

Wow! What a great contest! With heavily favorite David Henry coming into this show to repeat, Kevin English stole the thunder by outmuscleling David to become the new best 202lbs and under bodybuilder in the world. Eduardo Correa also looked great, and some had him to win it all. Here is the results.

2009 IFBB Mr. Olympia Results

With the loud standing ovation, and everyone in the Orleans Arena on their feat, we all watched history being made as Jay Cutler came back from his second place finish to retake the title, and win his third Mr. Olympia! Wow! But in another surprise, Branch Warren took the second place finish over a surprised and stunned Dexter Jackson by ONE point. The battle for 4th and 5th place continued with Kai beating Phil Heath by a ONE point marging too. This year was one of the most exciting Mr. Olympias, and whoever had doubted that Jay could not come back, we are all clearly wrong. Congratulations! Here are the results.

Phil Heath Interview

Heath says, “I’m probably the only guy on paper right now who could be a multiple Olympia champion and possibly break the record, but with the sport growing each year with more guys, I don’t know if there’s another Phil Heath lurking around. 2009 Mr. Olympia – Free tickets to the military

For the ninth consecutive year, the Weider Family, American Media Inc./Weider Publications and the IFBB Pro League, have authorized military personnel with a valid ID card to attend the Olympia Expo, Ms. Olympia Figure, Ms. Olympia, and Mr. Olympia competitions free of charge.

“Since 2001, it has been our privilege to have over 5000 military personnel attend the Olympia events as our special guest and we look forward to continuing this tradition and thanking them for all they do,” said Joe Weider. “We appreciate the tremendous sacrifices they make on our behalf and to show our respect, admiration and support, we are honored to provide these complimentary tickets,” added AMI Chairman, President and CEO David Pecker and IFBB Professional League Chairman, Jim Manion.

Active duty/retired members of all five branches of the military and the National Guard will be provided complimentary tickets for themselves and one guest. Signs indicating where to pick up the tickets will be located near the ticket center at the Orleans Hotel.

Free tickets are limited and are offered on a first come first served basis until the supply of free tickets is exhausted.

2008 Olympia Expo Swami Showdown – Isaac vs. Ron

At the 2008 Ironman Pro, Isaac vs. Ron went at it in the Gladiator Jousting Challenge, and Ron pulled through, with a blow that sent Isaac off the ground. At the 2008 Olympia, once again, the two went out it again, while Lonnie Teper was the emcee of this event. Two rounds, and the so-called ‘Experts’ fought there way towards a battle in which LT gets knocked down at the end!
