- First of all, who is competing in the Arnold Classic this year?
The official list has been released, which includes these pros in the lineup. They are Bob Cicherillo, Chris Cormier, Jay Cutler, Ahmad Haidar, Dexter Jackson, King Kamali, Greg Kovacs, Mustafa Mohammad, Markus Ruhl, Gunter Schlierkamp, Ernie Taylor and Craig Titus. Gustavo Badell was added after he placed 3rd at the 2004 Ironman Pro.
The official list at Kevin Levrone on it, but as of now, Kevin Levrone is not competing at the Arnold Classic.
The unofficial list had Troy Alves on it, but he has chosen to not compete until the Night of Champions. Also added to the official list was Kevin Levrone and Ernie Taylor. This lineup is a powerful one. There might also be room for one competitor, leaving room for Quincy Taylor, Anthony Freeman, Idrise Ward-El, Lee Priest, all who are doing the Pro Ironman, but would love to do the Arnold Classic too. If one of them make a major surprise at the Ironman, perhaps an invitation will be extended. Also, many were surprised to see Greg Kovacs in the lineup, having not seen him in a show in a long time.
- Who is competing in the Fitness International this year?
The official list includes Carla Freda, Adela Freidmansky, Tracey Greenwood, Jen Henderschott, Stacy Hylton, Tanjo Johnson, Kim Klein, Anna Level, Julie Palmer, Kelly Ryan, Angie Smesch, Stacy Simons, and Laurie Vaniman.
Of course, reaction was swift on this. Susie Curry is not in the line-up, moving to Figure, leaving Kelly Ryan and Adela Friedmansky as the top favorites. Many have asked why Brigette Newell is not on the list, of which people have said that she had a spectacular fitness routine in 2003. Still, the lineup is quite exciting.
- Who is competing in the Figure International this year?
The official list includes Dina Al-Sabah, Christine Bergeron, Monica Brant, Susie Curry, Christina Forlifter, Jamie Frankling, Elaine Goodlad, Monica Guerra, Sharon Kouvaras, Mari Kudla, Amber Littlejohn, Jenny Lynn, and DJ Wallis.
First note was seeing Susie Curry, the reigning Fitness queen, retire from fitness and enter into figure. That should imediately make an exciting show. Second question is where is Davana Medina, a top figure competitor. (Most likely the did not ask for an invite). Still, this is an a great lineup!
- Who is competing in the Ms. International this year?
For Lightweight competitors, the unoffical list is as follows: Fannie Barrios, Diana Cadeau, Angela Debatin, Sophie Duquette, Denise Masino and Brenda Raganot. For Heavyweight competitors, the list goes with Iris Kyle, Yaxeni Oriquen, Betty Pariso, Bonny Priest, Annie Rivieccio, Christine Roth and Betty Viana.
So where is Cathy Priest? Where. Well, she just retired from bodybuilding and is going into figure. Yes, figure for 2004.
