2004 Jan Tana Classic Cancelled May 21, 2004

With the announcement by the IFBB that Wayne DeMilia is no longer associated with the IFBB, and that the IFBB announced its restructuring of the Professional Division, some promoters are already getting nervous. Not 24 hours later was an e-mail sent informing everyone that the 2004 Jan Tana Classic, an IFBB staple for the Fitness & Women's Bodybuilding Contests, was being cancelled for the year. Here is the official email that was sent: May 20, 2004 To: All Bodybuilding and Fitness Enthusiasts From: Jan Tana Re: The 2004 Jan Tana Classic / Masters Mr. Olympia I am sure that you have heard that the IFBB is currently undergoing some major changes in their organization. Wayne DeMilia is no longer associated with the IFBB and soon there will be other organizational announcements to outline the new structure. I am confident that the changes will be positive for the sport, however the timing of these changes will effect the 2004 Jan Tana Classic / Master's Mr. Olympia. The Jan Tana Classic is only a few short months away and unfortunately there is several factors that are not clearly identified which will directly affect this year's event. Due to this current situation, the scheduled 2004 Jan Tana Classic / Master's Mr. Olympia will be cancelled.
