MSNBC Abrams Report: 01-02-05: Meet Robert George
January 2, 2006

The Titus and Ryan story continues in the news. Here, we meet one of Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan's lawyers from Massachusetts, a man named Robert (Bobby) George. The lawyer went on the Abrams Report on Monday, January 2nd to try and show the people that things may not seem to be what they here or read.

When asked why was Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan were on the run, he replied "I think the prosecutor in Nevada wants you to believe that they were on the run. But the fact is that they left Las Vegas four days before any arrest warrants were issued in the case, and after the interviews. At they time they left, they were cooperating witnesses, as far as they knew, so when they came here to see friends for the holidays, they only found out a few moments before they were ready to come back that they were wanted in Nevada. So all the dating on the documents doesn't support a flight to avoid prosecution."

When asked about the change in appearance, he replied "In the state of Massachusetts, not in Nevada, changing your appearance doesn’t necessary mean anything in terms of evidence in a case. Now using common sense, why would anyone change their appearance? The fact is, Titus, who hasn't competed competitively in a year and a half, his body is quite different now than it was in the many pictures that you have seen in the media. His hair is really not that much different, he cut his hair really short. As far as Kelly Ryan goes, her hair appears to be almost the same shade that it was in Nevada. But for those who would argue that they would change their appearance, there is a lot of explanations for why a person would change their appearance that is equally consistent with being innocent.

When asked about the $8,300 in cash, $100 bills, he argued in court last week that it was certainly not enough money to make a long run for the hills, whether to Greece or New York City. $8,300 was nothing, and there was nothing on this end of the case to liquidate their assetts."

Frank Curreri, a reporter for the Las Vegas Review Journal, listened in by phone, and pretty much said much of what is known it circumstantial. Frank has been on this case since the beginning when it started, and has appeared on a lot of news shows.

Robert George also said, regarding what is known "I don’t dispute a lot of the information that has been relayed to the reporter, but the problem is that we don’t know what happened, we don’t know how it happened, and we don’t know how things came to be. When Anthony Gross was released on $13,000 cash bail, it says a lot about where he is coming from and any story that he tells. So I don’t want to fan that forest fire. But it sure smells like something is going on with Anthony Gross and this case.

The thing that people have to remember is that a lot of what you see on the Internet or on the news is dated information. One of the things that we don't know is when Craig and Melissa had the affair."
