Catherine Crier Live on Craig Titus & Kelly Ryan: 1/17/06

Catherine Crier Live had a segment today about the case, featuring Las Vegas Review Journal Frank Curreri and Bob Chicherillo. Here are some pictures and notes from the segment.

Asked if Frank knew where Craig & Kelly were at the moment, he said "We don't know where they are. We know Kelly was shipped out on Saturday and Craig on Sunday, but I am told that they are likely on a van going cross country, and that the van stops at various states to pick up other fugitives. They drive for 12 hours, they spend the night in jail, they pick up more fugitives, and they get here when they get here. They are going on separate vans to Nevada."

You can see a definite change with Craig & Kelly over this past year. They had gotten away from the bodybuilding scene. Their competition days seemed like they might be coming to an end. Some contracts that they had were coming to an end, as well as some columns in bodybuilding publications. I did see Craig personally in Chicago, and it was a different Craig than you knew before. You could definitely see that they were not heading into a good direction.

Craig said in the police report that he has a secret affair with Melissa. His attorney said that he was misquoted there. Regarding Kelly being only charged with accessory to murder, I have talked to other officials though - and that could change. I think right now it is like a puzzle and there are a lot of pieces in place, but there are still a few missing pieces. There is no one that is saying right now that Craig did anything to Melissa. And Craig's attorney has denied that Craig had anything to do with her death.

The coroners office has not even officially identified Melissa James yet. Craig Titus' attorney says do not trust Anthony Gross - he is not credible.

We are not talking about performing enhancing drugs here. We are talking about recreational drugs We are not talking about the bodybuilding pictures you see, we are talking about a 190-200 pound guy instead of a 250-260 pounds person.

I am not sure if Melissa was more of a personal assistant rather than just a live-in pal, so to say. Both Craig and Kelly lived sort of of what we call a free lifestyle - after parties, nightclubs, drugs, booze - all that stuff kind of came into play.
